Kindergarten: Here we come!

Finally, Flat Ethan was able to accompany Cole to class.  Needless to say, Cole had been asking about it on a daily basis.  Hopefully he survives the day :)

Flat Ethan helping cole out during Writer's Workshop.

And I am sure there is a good story to accompany the super snout that Cole has strapped to his face.

A Day in the Life...

Today Ethan spent the day with Aunt Lisa, the Design Tech teacher at Thomas Metcalf Laboratory School.

Ethan learned all about Solid State Printers and going green.

When you hang out with the tech teacher, programming is likely to occur.

While all of our 2nd grade Flat Stanley's are off visiting the world, Flat Ethan was checking out their world!

What else would you expect from a tech teacher?

Hanging with the crew and rubbing elbows with the PE and Art teachers :)

What better day to visit than on the 15th Annual International Fair Day.  Flat Ethan got to visit places like Switzerland, Honduras, Canada, and had his picture taken with two students representing Mexico.

And finally, Flat Ethan closed out the day with the Robotics club and their  arduino projects.   Yup, more programming.  How Cool!

Child's Play

While hanging out with Kenzie at the Child Care Center, Flat Ethan was drug all over. Hopefully Z did not wear him out too much, as tomorrow he graduates to Kindergarten :)

Everything I learned in life...

I learned in Pre-K. Today I am hanging out with my first cousin once removed, Mackenzie. She attends ISU's Child Care Center. The 3 & 4 year olds know how it rolls.

First Day Back at Work

Breaks are always followed by an increased workload when you return. That is why I hang this picture in my office. Good reminder :-)  Thanks for pointing it out Ethan.

Back to Work

After 4 days in the mountains, we are back on the plains of Illinois. Ethan has come in to work today. What better place to work than an institution of learning and teaching?
